There are two ways to get in St. Barthelemy, by plane and by boat. If you want to fly going to the island, you will have to take two flights. There are no direct flights from other countries to St. Barthelemy. If you’re coming from United States, then you have to take a plane and land on any of the three islands of St. Martin, St. Thomas, and Guadalupe. From there you’ll get into an inter-island carrier that would land at St. Barthelemy.
You should check your schedules and make an advance reservation as the airport in St. Barthelemy would not allow landings and departures by sunset. One more reason why you should make a reservation is because plane that come to St. Barthelemy can accommodate a very few number of passengers.
Is your coming from St. Martin, your flight would only take 10 minutes going to St. Barthelemy. Windward Islands Airways International (Winair) has 18 daily flights to St. Barts. San Juan or St. Thomas to St. Barthelemy, the flights of Air St. Thomas is your choice. A round-trip from St. Thomas to St. Barthelemycosts $249 and the trip from San Juan to St. Barthelemy costs $333. Air St. Thomas has two daily flights to St. Barthelemy, but their patrons complain of the unpredictable flight schedules. The Edge, is a high speed ferry that sails from Tuesday to Saturday, but only go once. It departs from Pelican Marina in Dutch St. Martin at 9:00 AM going to Gustavia.
