Cayman Islands Climate Print E-mail

 The island experience mainly tropical weather condition with slight seasonal variation which makes tells us that Cayman Islands enjoys perpetual summer. Climatically, the year divides into two seasons - the summer or rainy season. In general the weather is good all year and the trade winds ensure it doesn't get too hot. Temperatures at coolest during February (18°C to 22°C at night and 22°C to 30°C during the day) while the summer months of July and August have temperature highest of 30°C to 33°C.  The rainy season starts in May and lasts through until October with May and October usually the rainiest months. March and April are usually the driest months of the year. Average rainfall is estimated at 1169 millimeters.

  Required clothing: Lightweight cottons and linens and a light raincoat or umbrella for the rainy season. Warmer clothes may be needed on cooler evenings.
 Dress: The Cayman Islands are conservative by nature. Neat, casual and comfortable tropical attire are appropriate whilst smart causal tropical resort wear is the norm for evenings out at our restaurants. Please do not wear bathing suits or scanty beach wear beyond the beach or cruise ship. There are no nude beaches in the Cayman Islands as public nudity and topless bathing are strictly prohibited by law.
