Bermuda Nightlife Print E-mail

Do not overlook the work of local musicians: Bermuda has a long tradition of producing superb jazz artists and hosts an annual jazz festival in the fall.  Whether you want to hear classical music or classic rock & roll, nightlife in Bermuda definitely won’t leave you singing the blues.

Moreover, you never know whom you will find jamming at any one of our pubs, lounges, and hotel bars. Hotel clerks, cab drivers, and even shopkeepers will be happy to tell you where to have a good time.  Some places close in the off-season, so for the latest information about what is going on each night, is sure to pick up a free copy of Preview Bermuda and This Week in Bermuda, which can be found in visitor centers and hotels.

 Music to Your Ears
The music scene is dominated by local acts and bands playing the Island’s hotel and pub circuits. Enjoy live jazz or contemporary bands playing everything from reggae to rock & roll. Occasionally, outside performers are billed, particularly during the Bermuda Festival. Legends such as Chaka Khan, Al Jarreau, and George Benson have performed at the annual Bermuda Jazz Festival.  Moreover, keep your ears peeled for the Coca-Cola Steel Band, and the Bermuda Strollers

During summer, weekly cruises and beach parties add to the party scene.

 Bermuda Island Cruises
Enjoy a cruise through the calm water of the Great Sound on the Hawkins Island Don’t Stop the Carnival Party.  This private and preserved island in the middle of the Great Sound is only accessible by boat and it’s where the locals go to have a good time.  The Reef Explorer Glass Bottom Boat Safari is the cruise where you will get an up-close look at living coral reef habitats, which are home to hundreds of species of fish, corals, and marine organisms.  This spectacular view of marine life operates year-round, departing Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, and on Saturday from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
